AI-Ready WebsitesGuide + service

Get found by Google, answer engines and AI assistants.

Your next customer may never see a list of ten blue links. They will ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or their phone for a recommendation, and those tools only suggest businesses they can read and trust. This is what that takes, in plain English, for a local business.

AI-Ready Websites01

Three doors. One foundation.

Talk to Greg about your project

Search is splitting into three doors. Google still ranks pages. Answer engines (featured snippets, voice assistants, Google AI Overviews) lift a direct answer out of a page. And AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity synthesize a recommendation from whatever sources they can read and verify. A clinic in Richland or a contractor in Kennewick now needs to walk through all three.

The good news: they want the same things. Clear facts, one topic per page, structured data, real proof, and content that is easy to quote. None of it requires a rebuild for most businesses, and none of it is magic. It is careful structure, done once and kept current.

GelFuzion has built every site this way since the tools existed, and publishes its own facts at gelfuzion.com/llms.txt so you can see exactly what it looks like.

AI-Ready Websites01

Three disciplines, one site.

They overlap almost entirely. Clear headings help readers, Google and AI at once. One well-structured site serves all three.

( 01 )

SEO: search engine optimization

Gets your pages crawled, indexed and ranked in Google and Bing. Speed, mobile layout, titles, sitemaps, internal links and local signals. Still the base everything else stands on.

( 02 )

AEO: answer engine optimization

Shapes pages so a snippet, a voice assistant or an AI Overview can lift a direct answer: clear questions, concise definitions, FAQ sections and FAQ schema.

( 03 )

GEO: generative engine optimization

Gives ChatGPT, Claude and Perplexity the evidence to cite you: consistent business facts, named authorship, reviews and mentions, Service and LocalBusiness schema, and an llms.txt file.

AI-Ready Websites02

The seven things your site needs.

Adapted from the emerging AI-ready website standard and applied to what a local business can realistically maintain.

AI-Ready Websites03

What GelFuzion builds in.

Every new site ships with LocalBusiness or ProfessionalService schema, Service schema on each service page, FAQ schema wherever there are questions, BreadcrumbList, Open Graph tags, an XML sitemap, a robots.txt that welcomes search and AI crawlers, and an llms.txt with your business facts. Titles, descriptions and headings are written to answer the question a customer would ask, not just to carry a keyword.

For existing sites, the same checklist is applied as an audit: what is missing, what is inconsistent (an old footer or bio can keep a wrong business category alive for years), and what to fix first. Most fixes take days, not weeks.

What it cannot do: force a citation. No schema type or file makes ChatGPT recommend you. Readiness improves the odds; reviews, useful content and consistent work over time do the rest, which is the same thing that has always been true of a good website.

QuestionsFAQ

AI-ready website questions.

Straight answers. If yours isn't here, ask directly and you'll hear back within a business day.

What is an AI-ready website?

A website that people, search engines and AI assistants can all read, understand and trust. In practice that means crawlable pages, one clear topic per page, consistent business facts, structured data (schema), direct answers near the headings, real proof such as reviews, and content that is kept current.

Do I need a new website to be AI-ready?

Usually not. Most of the checklist is structure and facts, which can be added to a solid existing WordPress, Shopify or Squarespace site. A rebuild only makes sense when the site is slow, not mobile-friendly, or hides its content behind scripts that crawlers cannot read.

Does this replace SEO?

No. It sits on top of it. AI assistants draw from the same crawlable web that Google indexes, so the traditional foundations (speed, mobile, titles, sitemaps, links) still come first. AI readiness adds the clarity and evidence those systems need to quote you.

How long does it take to show up in ChatGPT or Perplexity?

There is no fixed timeline and no tool that guarantees a citation. Technical fixes can be picked up within weeks; being recommended consistently depends on reviews, mentions and useful content building over months. What we control is making the site as easy to trust as possible.

What is an llms.txt file?

A plain-text file at yoursite.com/llms.txt that states who you are, what you do, where you work and how to contact you, in a format AI systems can read without guessing. GelFuzion publishes one for itself and adds one to every site it builds.
